INTRODUCTION

DISCUSSION
The City began using Shaw HR Consulting in 2018 and Shaw HR Consulting has provided excellent service to the City for FEHA/ADA disability consulting. This coordination and facilitation includes contacting employees who are requesting or requiring accommodation, assisting with obtaining medical information, facilitating good faith interactive meetings, and supporting the City in determining what accommodations may be reasonable to implement.

The previous agreement expired on June 30, 2021. Due to an administrative oversight, the original agreement was not extended. During this time, Shaw HR Consulting continued to provide the same level of service with the understanding that payment for any outstanding invoices would be remitted once the contract was finalized and approved. The proposed agreement provides for $300,000 for the four-year term of the contract, with an option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year terms.

FISCAL IMPACT
Overall, the fiscal impact to the City over the maximum term of the agreement is $300,000. Funds for this agreement are available in the existing Human Resources and Risk Management budget.
