INTRODUCTION
The Human Relations Commission (HRC) Interview Panel composed of Mayor Lili Bosse and Councilmember Sharona R. Nazarian, PsyD, Human Relations Chair Noelle Freeman and Vice Chair Laura Margo met on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
The panel interviewed four (4) applicants for one vacancy on the Commission.
DISCUSSION
After discussion and careful review, the Panel recommended Ms. Pam Kraushaar to fill the position of late Chair Rhoda J. Sharp.
Ms. Kraushaar must attend all Human Relations Commission meetings leading up to her appointment. If approved she will be eligible for an initial two-year term from January 2023 to December 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT
None
RECOMMENDATION
The interview panel recommends that the City Council appoint Ms. Pam Kraushaar to the Human Relations Commission. With the concurrence of the Council, a formal report will be prepared for adoption at the November 15, 2022 City Council Regular Meeting.
The City is fortunate to have an extraordinary applicant pool. Community members are encouraged to re-apply for upcoming vacancies. Commission applicants are encouraged to apply for Team Beverly Hills as a way to learn more about local City government.
