RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Council receive and file this report.
INTRODUCTION
Per the City Council Policy and Operations Manual, City Council Ad Hoc Committees are established by the Mayor. At the request of Councilmember Mirisch, Mayor Bosse is establishing the Beverly Hills City Council / Holocaust Memorial Ad Hoc Committee to explore the creation of a Holocaust Memorial in Beverly Hills.
DISCUSSION
The City has three types of City Council Committees:
1. Commission Liaison Standing Committees,
2. Subject Matter/Topic Standing Committees, and
3. Ad Hoc Committees.
Ad Hoc Committees are established on an as-needed basis for the purpose of addressing particular issues that will not require a permanent Committee.
Mayor Bosse, at the request of Councilmember Mirisch, is establishing the Beverly Hills City Council / Holocaust Memorial Ad Hoc Committee (“Ad Hoc”) to explore the creation of a Holocaust Memorial in Beverly Hills. Mayor Bosse is appointing Councilmember Mirisch and herself to this Ad Hoc.
