RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council move to waive the full reading and adopt the ordinance entitled: “ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS AMENDING CHAPTER 5 AND CHAPTER 6 OF TITLE 4 OF THE BEVERLY HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING EVICTIONS”.
INTRODUCTION
At its meeting of January 3, 2023, the City Council conducted a first reading of this ordinance and introduced it.
DISCUSSION
This ordinance amends Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 of Title 4 of the Beverly Hills Municipal Code to prohibit a landlord from evicting a tenant for the purpose of major remodeling.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no anticipated fiscal impact as a result of the ordinance.
