RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appoint Homayoon "Mark" Nehoray, Susan Kimura, and Benjamin M. Ritterbush to the Public Works Commission to replace past commissioners Sharona R. Nazarian, PsyD (term ended: December 31, 2022), Joshua Greer (term ends: June 30, 2023), and Charles "Chuck" Alpert (term ends: December 31,2023).
Mr. Homayoon "Mark" Nehoray's term will commence on February 22, 2023 and end on December 31, 2024. He will be eligible for reappointment per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105 after completing his first 22-month term. Mr. Nehoray will be replacing outgoing Commissioner Sharona R. Nazarian, PsyD (term ended: December 31, 2022).
Ms. Susan Kimura's term will commence on July 1, 2023 and end on June 30, 2025.
She will be eligible for reappointment per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105 after finishing her first two-year term. Ms. Kimura will be replacing outgoing Commissioner Joshua Greer (term ends: June 30, 2023).
Additionally, the City Council understands that Ms. Kimura will not be able to attend in person meetings in July and possibly August 2023. The City Council direction from the February 21, 2023 City Council study session is for Ms. Kimura to participate remotely via Zoom. Staff has received confirmation, that this option is acceptable to Ms. Kimura.
However, in the event Ms. Kimura is unable to participate remotely during that timeframe, then the option to extend Commissioner Joshua Greer's term as needed up to two months will be permitted.

Mr. Benjamin M. Ritterbush's term will commence on January 1, 2024 and end on December 31, 2025. He will be eligible for reappointment per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105 after finishing his first two-year term. Mr. Ritterbush will be replacing outgoing Commissioner Charles "Chuck" Alpert (term ends: December 31, 2023).
INTRODUCTION
This report transmits a formal request to appoint Homayoon "Mark" Nehoray, Susan Kimura, and Benjamin M. Ritterbush to the Public Works Commission for the terms provided.
DISCUSSION
Staff presented the Public Works Commission Interview Panel Report to the City Council at the Study Session of February 21, 2023. This action will approve the appointments presented to the City Council at this meeting.
