Meeting Date: June 27, 2023
provided from the City’s Tourism and Marketing Budget. On April 24, 2023, the City Council Liaison! Rodeo Drive! Special Events! Holiday Program Committee (“Committee”), Liaisons Vice Mayor Friedman and Councilmember Bosse, reviewed theFY 23!24 work plan and funding request presented by the RDC for marketing and special programming. The recommendations from the Committee were presented at the May 2, 2023, City Council Formal Meeting (Attachment 2), which the City Council approved.

This item, if approved by the City Council, approves the execution of an Agreement between the City and RDC for FY 23!24 marketing of, and special programs for Rodeo Drive; authorizes the issuance of a FY 23!24 purchase order to the RDC in the amount of $210,998; and waives the bidding requirements per Beverly Hills Municipal Code 3-3-204 (D) because it would be in the best interest of the City to continue to utilize this vendor for these services.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City has maintained a policy of funding its tourism and marketing programs from a specific allocation of the transient occupancy tax (“TOT”). The City collects a total of fourteen percent TOT based on gross room sales from the City’s hotels. One-seventh ofthe total TOT revenue has been the basis of calculating the funding in Beverly Hills for approximately 25 years. The Policy & Management Department’s Tourism and Marketing budget (01001311) provides funding for activities, which market and promote the City to potential travelers. In FY 23!24 this includes funding for:
