RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appoint Ms. Tara Riceberg and Mr. Zale Richard Rubins to the Recreation and Parks Commission. It is also requested that the City Council approve the extension of commission term for Ms. Myra Lurie on the Recreation and Parks Commission.
Ms. Riceberg’s term will commence on January 1, 2024 and end on December 31, 2025.
The commission term for Mr. Rubins will commence on July 1, 2024 and end on June 30, 2026. Both will be eligible for reappointment per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105.
Ms. Lurie’s commission extension of service will conclude on June 30, 2024. She will not be eligible for reappointment to this commission.
INTRODUCTION
This report transmits a formal request to appoint Ms. Tara Riceberg and Mr. Zale Richard Rubins to the Recreation and Parks Commission for the term provided. It also includes a request to approve the extension of term for Ms. Myra Lurie.
DISCUSSION
Staff presented the Recreation and Parks Commission Interview Panel Report to the City Council at the Study Session of September 12, 2023. This action will approve the appointment presented to the City Council at this meeting.
