INTRODUCTION
Provided for your review and approval are a list of proposed City Council meeting dates from January 2024 through April 2024.
DISCUSSION
Per the Beverly Hills Municipal Code, regularly scheduled City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Any date changes to City Council meetings require Council approval.
The following alternate dates (marked with * on the list) are proposed due to holidays and other events that conflict with regular meeting dates:
- City Council Meeting: Propose Thursday, January 4, 2024 instead of Tuesday, January 2, 2024 due to the New Year’s Holiday Weekend - City Council Meeting: Proposed Tuesday, January 23, 2024 instead of Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to the U.S. Conference of Mayors - City Council Meeting: Proposed Tuesday, March 12, 2024 instead of Tuesday, March 5, 2024 due to Election Day.
- Installation/Re-Organization: Tuesday, April 2, 2024

Background: Installation/Re-Organization
Previously at both the Tuesday, November 16, 2021 and Tuesday, August 18, 2020 Study Sessions, the City Council formally directed that the installation/reorganization ceremony be held on the first Tuesday in April of each year Meeting Date: December 5, 2023
regardless of election dates. This would allow for continuity with the Mayor and Vice Mayor rotation process.
