INTRODUCTION
Per the request of Mayor Gold, Dr. Barry D. Pressman, Beverly Hills’ Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) Director, will discuss the challenges facing the MWD and its strategies to fulfill its mission ‟to provide adequate and reliable supplies of high-quality water”.
DISCUSSION
MWD provides water resources to 19 million people in portions of Ventura County to San Diego County along the coast and as far east as Riverside County. The major sources of water originate from the Feather River and Colorado River. Director Pressman will share with City Council the status of existing resources and new water resources MWD is pursuing.

Not applicable.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council accept the presentation by Director Pressman.
