My name is Shelhee Gal, as an Israeli American I wanted to thank Beverly Hills for holding this emergency session and for their ongoing support for Israel and the Jewish community in general, fighting against antisemitism.
This is very close to me. At this moment my nephew is fighting in Gaza, My niece’s boss with his wife and 3 kids were slaughtered in their homes, they found them all hugging each other in bed.. Eden Yerushalmi was at Nova festival with my childhood friend’s daughter, luckily she survived with a lot of emotional wounds but Eden wasn’t that lucky she is still captured in Gaza
We can’t just let the world forget what happened that day for us every day is still October 7
I would really appreciate if you take this huge opportunity to give the hostages a voice on a world platform. Thank you so much

Given the current global landscape and the alarming increase in antisemitism both internationally and within our own community at the heart of Beverly Hills, we are reaching out to request permission to create murals depicting the hostages held by the terrorist organization, Hamas. They have over 100 hostages including babies and elderly. We are seeking approval to display these images across buildings in Beverly Hills not only to raise awareness but also to shed light on the ongoing situation affecting our brothers and sisters overseas. It is imperative that we do not turn a blind eye to hate, and if there is an opportunity for change, we must seize it now. Let us be courageous and communicate boldly to the world, including the visitors to Beverly Hills, that there is no room for hate.
