INTRODUCTION
This item provides the City Council with the certification of election results from the March 5, 2024 General Municipal Election as provided by the office of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk.
DISCUSSION
The City of Beverly Hills held its General Municipal Election on March 5, 2024. There were 10 candidates who contested for two (2) City Council seats. The candidates are listed in order of votes received:

The results as provided by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office have certified that the following candidates will be eligible for a four (4) year term as Councilmembers for the City of Beverly Hills:
City Council
• Craig Corman
• Mary Wells
There were 9,465 votes cast in the City of Beverly Hills. As a comparison there were 9,020 votes cast in the City’s June 2022 Municipal Election.
This report requests the City Council approve the results of the March 5, 2024 General Municipal Election as provided by the office of the Los Angeles County RegistrarRecorder/County Clerk.
Per the election results included in this report, it is requested that the two candidates, Craig Corman and Mary Wells be sworn in as Councilmembers for a four (4) year term.
Additional Beverly Hills specific election materials from the Los Angeles County Registrar’s office along with a finalized City of Beverly Hills resolution will be forwarded on Monday, April 1, 2024.
FISCAL IMPACT
A final report on costs associated with the election are pending receipt and will be provided as the information becomes available.

RESOLUTION NO. 24-R-______________
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS
RECITING THE FACT OF THE CONSOLIDATED GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS ON MARCH 5, 2024, DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER
MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a Consolidated General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, as required by law; and WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that candidates were nominated to fill the vacancy or vacancies as provided by law; that vote centers were established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the laws of the State of California for the holding of elections in general law cities; and WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to the City Council, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The whole number of precinct ballots cast at the vote centers except vote by mail (absentee) ballots and provisional were ___ballots.
The whole number of vote by mail and provisional ballots cast in the City were ______, making a total of ________ ballots cast in the City.
Section 2. The names of the persons voted for at the election for Member of the City Council are as follows (listed per ballot order):

• Tiffany Davis
• Myra Demeter
• Sharon Persovski
• Robin Rowe
• Alissa Roston

Section 3. The number of votes cast at vote centers and the number of votes given in the City to each of the persons above named for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates were as listed in Exhibit A attached.

Section 4. The City Council does declare and determine that: Craig Corman, was elected as Member of the City Council for the full term of four years, and that Mary Wells, was elected as a member of the City Council for the full term of four years.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall enter into the records of the City this resolution with a statement of the results of the election, showing: (1) the whole number of ballots cast in the City; (2) the names of the persons voted for; (3) for what office each person was voted; (4) the number of votes given at each vote center to each person; and (5) the total number of votes given to each person as listed in Exhibit A, attached.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall apprise the persons elected of their election to the offices of City Council, the City Clerk or a duly authorized person shall administer to each person elected the Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California and shall have them subscribe to it and file it in the Office of the City Clerk. Each and all of the persons so elected shall then be inducted into the respective office to which they have been elected.
Section 7. The City Clerk of this City shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the Book of Resolutions of this City, which entry shall constitute the City Clerk’s statement of the results of the election.
