Pursuant to the provisions set forth in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Planning Commission will also consider finding the project exempt from further review under CEQA. Continued from the May 9, 2024 Planning Commission Meeting.
After continuing discussion of the project, the majority of the Commission determined that they were unable to make the findings required to approve the request for a Conditional Use Permit.
Motion: MOVED by Commissioner Demeter to direct staff to prepare a resolution denying the request for the Conditional Use Permit, to return at the July 25, 2024 Planning Commission meeting for consideration and potential adoption.
Prior to a second and a vote, the Commission discussed the impact of continuing the project to a future hearing, and instead recessed the meeting to allow staff sufficient time to prepare a resolution to memorialize the Commission’s denial of the request for a Conditional Use Permit.
