agencies from Los Angeles City, Los Angeles County,
Los Angeles Sherrif, and Federal departments will be
working the event.

Dick Clark Production and Beverly Hills Police will
work with the Los Angeles Department of

Hills Police on closures and reopening of streets.

Approval from the Mobile Command Post must be

Beverly Hills Police and Beverly Hills Fire will be the lead agency for the duration of the entire event which
includes set up days, event day and strike days.

Emergency

Insurance The City’s Risk Manager recommends requiring
General Liability Insurance of at least $2 million per
occurrence, naming the City of Beverly Hills as an
additional insured as a requirement to be provided by
Dick Clark Productions and The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Notification and
Marketing
The City will prepare the notification letter, provide a map and list of addresses of residents and
businesses where letter must be sent to within 1,000
feet of the event closure at least two weeks prior to
the event date, consistent with the City policy for large scale events that include street closures. Dick Clark
Productions and The Beverly Hilton Hotel will be
responsible for disseminating the notification letter.
7KH5RGHR'ULYH6SHFLDO(YHQWV+ROLGD\3URJUDP
Committee Liaisons recommended sending out two
letters of notifications out to all residents and
businesses. One letter to be sent out a month before
event date and another letter to be sent out two
weeks before event date. Liaisons also recommend
the letter of notification be sent out to a two-mile
radius, which would include our neighbours in nearby
Los Angeles.

Public Works Transportation Division will notify Metro
and Tour Buses to coordinate alternate routes.

The city ZLOOVHQGRXW&LW\ZLGH$QQRXQFHPHQWV1L[OH
Alerts, Everbridge Robo Calls, post on all social
media platforms and will place ads in local papers
notifying the Beverly Hills community of the street and sidewalk closures, as well as maintain an event
webpage providing the public with the most up to date
information and staff a hotline number during the
entire closure time as well as extended hours on
event day.

Traffic Control Officers will have postcards on hand
with them at different posts surrounding the event
area. The postcards provide a map, hotline number
and event webpage to pass out to drivers and walkers
needing specific information of closures and alternate
routes.

Re: Letter of Support for the 82nd Annual Golden Globes Event for The Beverly Hilton To whom it may concern,
Since 1974, the Golden Globe Awards® have been held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and have brought Beverly Hills to the attention of global television audiences ever since. On Sunday, January 5, 2025, the historic 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards will be held once again and be broadcast live to the world on CBS and Paramount+.

The Globes will once again draw celebrities, hundreds of members of the press and members of the entertainment community to celebrate the best in film and television. Not only does this large and influential group gather at the Beverly Hilton, but the economic impact of the awards has an immediate and lasting impact on the area economy.

The estimated direct economic impact of the Globes ceremony is $82.5 million with an additional indirect benefit to car services, caterers, wait staff and other service employees earning an estimated $4.1 million according to the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation.

While staging a show of this size represents challenges for the area’s residents, the overall benefits to Beverly Hills are far exceeded by showcasing the city as the epicenter of the premier party in the entertainment industry for the official kick-off of the award season and draw the eyes of a global audience.

The Golden Globes writes to you in support of the Beverly Hilton’s plans for the show that night and looks forward to working hand in hand with the city to make the night’s festivities go smoothly for Beverly Hills businesses and residents and make for another memorable night that once again portrays Beverly Hills as the destination for glamour and excitement.

We eagerly anticipate the return of the Golden Globes to the iconic Beverly Hilton and look forward to continuing our long association with Beverly Hills.

Sincerely,
Helen Hoehne
President

The City will send out Citywide Announcements, 1L[OH
