RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appoint Shabnam (Shelley) Azizi to the Traffic and Parking Commission to fill the unscheduled vacancy by former commissioner Ron Shalowitz. If approved, Ms. Azizi’s initial two-year term will begin immediately on April 1, 2025 and end on June 30, 2027.
She will be eligible for reappointment to a second term of four years per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105.
INTRODUCTION
This report transmits a formal request to appoint Shabnam (Shelley) Azizi to the Traffic and Parking Commission for the term provided.
DISCUSSION
Staff presented the Traffic and Parking Commission Interview Panel report to the City Council at the Study Session of March 18, 2025. This action will approve the appointment presented to the City Council at this meeting.
