RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the approval of a purchase order to MIS Topco, L.P. dba Mainline Information Systems in a not-to-exceed amount of $300,000 for the replacement and expansion of end-of-life disk storage systems. This recommendation is based on the critical need to ensure the continued functionality and scalability of the City’s data storage infrastructure, which supports essential municipal operations and compliance with data retention policies. The proposed purchase aligns with the City’s strategic goals to maintain operational efficiency and enhance technological capabilities.

DISCUSSION
This initiative is vital to maintaining the operational integrity of the City's data infrastructure, which underpins essential municipal functions. The proposed storage solution will address growing data capacity demands while ensuring compliance with state-mandated retention policies. Replacing and expanding the City's disk storage systems is necessary to support the increasing volume of digital evidence and operational data generated by various departments, including the Police Department’s Real-Time Watch Center.

The upgraded system will enhance data accessibility, improve disaster recovery capabilities, and ensure long-term compliance with data retention requirements.

Additionally, the expanded storage will accommodate high-resolution video files and other digital materials, supporting public safety and administrative operations.
