Traffic Control Plan The street and sidewalk closure would be managed and implemented by a professional traffic control
company hired by Dick Clark Productions.
Traffic control plans must be approved by the City
Traffic Engineer prior to event.
A Public Works Inspector may be on site each day of
the street and sidewalk closure to ensure traffic
control equipment is set up properly and according to
the approved plan.
Fire Lane Per standard with all street closures, a fire lane must be maintained at all times. The site plan showing the
fire lane must be approved by the Beverly Hills Fire
Marshal prior to the event.
Fee Waiver
Requested
As of the Liaison meeting, DCP has rescinded the fee
waiver request since DCP cannot commit to a City of

Food Preparation and

All food and beverage will be prepared and provided
by The Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Traffic All traffic will be rerouted. Traffic control equipment, messages boards, barriers, krails, etc. (included in
applicants traffic plan) will be placed around street
closures far enough so that the drivers avoid the area.
Hotel Valet,
Entrance/Exit for
Guests
DCP will work with the Hilton and Waldorf Hotels to
accommodate guests arriving to the hotels for valet
service by providing CMS boards directing guests to
Santa Monica side of the hotels. Waldorf guests
would enter via valet driveway, while Hilton guest
would use Santa Monica curbside. Both hotels have
agreed to this plan.
Traffic Signal and Red
Light Cameras
DCP is requesting to cover the arm and pole of the
traffic signal located at Wilshire Blvd and Whittier
Drive going Eastbound. The proposed covering would
begin on Friday, January 2nd at 6am when traffic
lanes are shifted north, and will remain in place until Tuesday, January 13th at 6am when lanes are shifted
back south. The covering would include the red light
cameras as well. Milestone cameras would remain
uncovered and online.
At this time, the type of material that will be used is 0HHWLQJ'DWH

unknown, as creative plans have not yet been
finalized. DCP will meet with City staff and provide
material descriptions and renderings for review once
available.
It is recommended that prior to installation, the
proposed covering material and plan be reviewed and
approved by Fire, Public Works, Police, and CDD
(Building and Safety) to ensure the safety of both
commuters and pedestrians.
From Friday, January 2 at 6am until Tuesday, January
13 at 6am, DCP is requesting to install a temporary
traffic signal, contingent upon approval of the request WRFRYHUWKHH[LVWLQJDUPDQGSROH
DCP requests that the red light cameras at Wilshire
Blvd and Whittier Drive Westbound be turned off from
Sunday, January 11 at 6am until Monday, January 12
at 6am. This request is to prevent camera flashes
during red carpet arrivals. BHPD has no objections
with this request, since the proposed street closure
times align with the request to take cameras offline.
Parking Per Liaison recommendation, it is suggested that DCP purchase parking passes for a Santa Monica 5
Parking Structure (i.e. 485 Santa Monica) rather than
parking overnight for one month on residential streets, as this can interfere with street sweeping, impact
residents, and reduce parking available for El Rodeo
Elementary School parents during pick-ups and dropoffs. DCP has agreed and Public Works will assist in approving 24 hour a day parking for DCP at the
H[SHQVHRI'&3
Shuttles for all crew, press, viewing and after party
attendees will run back and forth between designated
parking structures in Century City and the Beverly

Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council:
We are pleased to announce that dick clark productions [DCP] is bringing the Golden Globes back to the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 11, 2026. Over the years, we have enjoyed a very close and constructive working relationship with the City of Beverly Hills, its police, fire, event management and street services departments as well as other civic agencies to help produce the show. The project has many sides to it, and we couldn't make it happen without this invaluable collaboration. In that spirit, we are hoping to continue our partnership with you and to enlist your assistance and support for this year's show.
In 2026, the Golden Globes faces new challenges due to the construction project at One Beverly Hills.
Our partners at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, along with Cain Development, are committed to making the necessary provisions for DCP to continue to produce the prestigious event from the City of Beverly Hills. The most significant change will be a red carpet on Wilshire Blvd versus the circular driveway & Merv Gri n Way due to its lack of access and/or its existence. We are respectfully requesting to implement a lane reduction and street closure plan that will look different this year, primarily affecting Wilshire Blvd. while N Santa Monica will look similar to years past. Please know that nearly every aspect of the show to include decor and extensive media needs will be loaded in and out of the Wilshire cut-out doors, including viewing and after party production needs. All attendees will also enter and exit the Hilton via the Wilshire cut-out doors.
We are confident that Beverly Hills will continue to benefit fiscally as the host city of the Golden Globes. We look forward to working with your Special Events Coordinator, Beverly Hills Police, Beverly Hills Fire, along with your Public Works Departments to develop a safe and eicient traic and safety plan which will provide the best experience for all involved. In addition, we hope to minimize the inconvenience to Beverly Hills residents.
Given the history of this show at the Beverly Hilton and the relations built in the past, we will be providing letters of support from several prominent Beverly Hills entities. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. We all look forward to working together to create the best show experience possible.
Respectfully yours,
Preston Northrop - Vice President, Production
Dick Clark Productions

83rd GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS
DCP is recognized as the world’s largest producer and proprietor of televised live entertainment programming. For decades, DCP has brought the brightest stars to audiences worldwide. Once headquartered for years in Beverly Hills, DCP is committed to maintaining and strengthening its relationships within the local community while fostering new partnerships as we continue our tenured history of producing the Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Since 1974, the Beverly Hilton Hotel has proudly hosted the Golden Globe Awards, welcoming some of the most iconic figures in Hollywood on its legendary red carpet and into the renowned International Ballroom [IBR]. This tradition will continue on January 11, 2026 at 5pm on CBS/Paramount+ as the Beverly Hilton will once again host this prestigious show. DCP recognizes the value of a mutually beneficial partnership with the City of Beverly Hills and seeks to provide more opportunities to strengthen the on-going marketing and promotional efforts of one of the most iconic cities on the planet.
BACKGROUND
For 51 Years, the Golden Globes and the City of Beverly Hills have enjoyed a wonderful and welcoming vendor-city partnership.
This year, the unprecedented logistical challenges of One Beverly Hills have presented an exponential rise in labor costs along with countless challenges of schedule coordination. These include but are not limited to extended load-in and load-out, limited street access, route changes into and out of the Hilton, and a variety of necessary lane reductions and street closures.
2026 LOCAL BENEFITS AND PARTNERSHIPS
The Golden Globes offers several high-value benefits to the local area:
COMMUNITY BENEFIT
A pilot mentor-program with Beverly Hills High School was launched during the previous show and had tremendous success as the participating students gained incredible experience of witnessing just how complex producing a live awards show broadcast can be. DCP reengaged BHHS about continuing with this program for the 2026 show. Some of the previous highlights for the students included:
Ɣ Behind the scenes production access for students prior to show day.
Ɣ Students observed, met with and conducted on-camera interviews with industry professionals.
Ɣ On Show Day, students were able to “walk the red carpet,” then conducted red carpet, media-style interviews with some notable celebrities.
NOTE: DCP has not requested any funds from BHHS for this program.
ECONOMIC AND MARKETING BENEFIT
The Golden Globes ushers in a global audience to the City of Beverly Hills and has already provided the following exposure and positively contributed to the local economic landscape:
2025 Globes Press Highlights (8/1/24 - 1/14/25)
Ɣ 1.2T+ Media Reach / Impressions
Ɣ $8.8B in Ad Value Equivalency
Ɣ 172K+ Total Unique Press Hits
Ɣ 68%Increase in Media Placements YoY
2025 - 82nd Show - Global Audience
Ɣ Viewed in over 185 countries
Ɣ 10 million viewers on CBC/Paramount+
Ɣ 1.2X Most likely to have a HHI of $200K+
Ɣ 40 million social interactions
Ɣ Most Socials - Globes up 124% YoY
Ɣ $117 million dollars in combined direct/indirect economic impact.
Ɣ Local hotels and restaurants thrive and benefit from the influx of attendees and crew.
Ɣ Local jobs are created.
Ɣ The entertainment industry greatly benefits from locally produced shows.
Ɣ The prestige of Beverly Hills is reinforced by this historic show.
Ɣ DCP has engaged with the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce on how the Golden Globes show can support the local business community.
BRANDING BENEFIT
As the show has been proudly anchored in Beverly Hills for decades, DCP has offered the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitor Bureau another unique opportunity to capture content in various aspects of the Golden Globes and the Beverly Hilton to support City-related branding, marketing and social media initiatives. In doing so, DCP has requested $25,000 from the BHCVB for this access. DCP did receive positive feedback from the BHCVB regarding their level of access during the previous show and how the content they were able to gather will surely benefit future marketing and branding efforts for the City of Beverly Hills. Our goal is to invest more into this relationship with the BHCVB.

DCP wishes to inform the City Council that they, along with the Beverly Hilton, provided complementary meal service to over 150+ City of Beverly Hills employees during the previous show day which totaled approximately $14,250.
As a courtesy, these meals will continue to be provided to City staff for the 2026 show at no costs to the City.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The show will air live on CBS/Paramount+ from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. PST. Attendees will arrive via limo eastbound on Wilshire Blvd from Comstock. Once screened by security, attendees will be dropped off at Wilshire and Whittier where they will enter an elaborate red carpet positioned on Wilshire Blvd in front of the hotel from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Limos will then conduct a u-turn with the assistance of TCOs and will leave the intersection westbound Wilshire back towards Country Club. Attendees will then enter the Hilton via the glass, Wilshire cut-out doors and make their way through the main lobby into the International Ballroom. Once the show concludes, attendees may attend on-site after parties and/or depart the hotel via the Wilshire cut-out doors. Some strike and adjustments of the red carpet elements will take place during the live broadcast to make space for departing attendees to comfortably wait, then safely meet with their arriving limo on the east end of the red carpet footprint. As in previous years, limos will re-stage (after dropping off attendees) on Wilshire and Country Club.
SHUTTLES
The show will utilize shuttles for all crew, press, viewing and after party attendees. Shuttles will run back and forth between designated parking structures in Century City and the Beverly Hilton. DCP is looking to sync show-related shuttle operations with the Hilton employee shuttle routes to include using the existing pick and drop off points on the Santa Monica side of the hotel.
STREET CLOSURES
Lane and full-street closures are requested for approval to form a safe and secure venue during setup, the show itself, and tear down. On the day of the event, approximately 250 limousines will arrive at the Beverly Hilton between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. As in years past, Traic control personnel from BHPD and LADOT will manage traic flow in the area while Beverly Hills will have a full deployment of BHPD, along with assistance from FBI-Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Bomb Squad, oicers from LAPD-West LA Division and a large contingent of private security.

SPECIAL REQUESTS FROM DCP
TRAFFIC SIGNAL(s) (Wilshire at Whittier): The location of the traic light and its outstretched arm located on the southeast corner of Wilshire and Whittier needs to be covered for design purposes for the red carpet tent. This particular area will be the limo drop off spot, along with the grand entrance onto the red carpet so the traic light pole and the arm extension will need to be covered with design elements. On show day, DCP requests the traic light signals (red, yellow, green, pedestrian) be turned off for the entire intersection of Wilshire and Whittier to include the red light cameras. A temporary traic light would be used to help manage the eastbound traic flow while Wilshire remains open. (See Appendix C for location & the below photo for reference).
NOTE: DCP understands the vertical traic pole on the south sidewalk has some existing technology that can not be removed or covered, therefore, DCP requests to cover as much of the vertical pole itself with design elements without blocking the Milestone camera lenses. Prior to show day, DCP requested to cover the red light traic camera with design elements for eastbound Wilshire at Whittier.
DCP PARKING REQUEST: Due to the limited availability of on-site parking of both hotels, DCP requested the use of 50 parking spaces at 485 N Roxbury Drive, City-owned parking structure. The use of the parking structure would be 24/7 from December 15, 2025 through January 14, 2026. DCP understands there is a cost associated with these parking spaces and will work with the designated point of contact to make arrangements. The parking passes are for show leads and executives who will need access to the show’s footprint at all times.
WORK HOURS:
DCP understands the construction of the red carpet on Wilshire needs to align with the approved construction hours of Cain International/One Beverly Hills project.
Ɣ Mon-Fri 7:00am-7:00pm (active construction)
ż Workers may arrive / depart Mon-Sat 6:00am-7:00am / 7:00pm-8:00pm.
Ɣ Sat 7:00am-4:30pm (active construction)
ż Workers may arrive / depart on Saturdays 6:00am-7:00am / 4:30pm-5:30pm Ɣ Night Hauling - Monday through Thursday 8:00pm-6:00am NOTE: DCP requested to work outside of these hours and agreed to have a compliance monitor on-site to help track any noise limit violations.
HOTEL VALET ACCESS:
DCP will work to accommodate both the Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria with arriving guests having access to their respective valet service by using CMS boards & other signage with clear language to help guide incoming guests. For now, arriving guests for the Waldorf will be directed to the N Santa Monica Blvd valet driveway entrance. The Hilton would be using a section of curb on the N Santa Monica side of their hotel as a valet zone. DCP would coordinate with the Hilton on the placement of media trucks normally parked on that side of the hotel by the loading dock to help accommodate the implementation of a valet zone.
RESIDENT PARKING NOTIFICATION
In order to reduce traic and parking impacts to the surrounding residential neighborhood, no later than Thursday, January 8, the City will post “No Parking” signs from 6:00 a.m. to midnight for Sunday, January 11 on the following streets:
Ɣ Carmelita, between Wilshire and Walden
Ɣ Whittier, between Wilshire and Trenton
Ɣ Trenton, between Whittier and Wilshire
Ɣ Elevado, between Whittier and Walden
As in years past, the City Communication team will prepare the notification letter that will be sent out to affected residents and businesses. The City will provide a map and list of addresses of where the letter must be sent out to. Dick Clark Productions and The Beverly Hilton Hotel may use the “walking man service.” Residents who live in the affected areas are allowed to park on the street during the day on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Per the citywide policy, there is no overnight parking on residential streets between the hours of 2:30am – 5am. The Beverly Hills Police Department will be on site monitoring the affected areas on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Street closures will allow residents access to their homes at all times.
GOLDEN GLOBE POST CELEBRATIONS
Immediately following the awards program, the Beverly Hilton Hotel and the Waldorf Astoria may be the location of several after parties hosted by various movie studios and entertainment companies. DCP and the Beverly Hilton will notify the City when any post-celebrations are confirmed.
PUBLIC OUTREACH
DCP and Beverly Hilton will work closely with the city’s public information team in regards to providing adequate notification to the public regarding the above closures. Notifications will be sent to residents within a 2 mile radius of the venue.
NOTIFICATIONS
DCP has notified and provided draft-TMPs to the City of Los Angeles, Department of Transportation regarding our request for lane reductions and street closures within their jurisdiction related to the Golden Globes. DCP will apply for a BOSS permit and will collaborate with LADOT engineers on ensuring that a safe and orderly traic flow is maintained on the adjacent streets west of the City of Beverly Hills. Any and all traic coordination with the City of Los Angeles will be in conjunction with BHPD.

IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTICE
Golden Globe Awards – Local Traffic Advisory
Dates: Friday, January 2 – Monday, January 12, 2026
Location: Beverly Hilton Hotel & Surrounding Area
Dear El Rodeo Families,
The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 11, 2026. In preparation for and during this major event, the City of Beverly Hills has announced temporary lane reductions on Wilshire Blvd in front of the Beverly Hilton. These lane reductions may cause some added congestion to Wilshire & the adjacent streets, affecting school drop-off and pick-up times from January 2–12, 2026. Note: Wilshire Blvd will be completely closed from Comstock to N Santa Monica Blvd. on show day, Sunday January 11, 2026.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.
Expected Traffic Impacts
Ɣ Wilshire Blvd. – Lane reductions, closures and restricted access near the Beverly Hilton. Increased congestion due to production load in & out.
Ɣ Santa Monica Blvd. – Lane reductions, closures and restricted access near the Beverly Hilton. Increased congestion due to event deliveries and setup.
Tips for El Rodeo Families
Ɣ Allow 10–15 extra minutes for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
Ɣ Use alternate routes such as Sunset Blvd or Elevado.
Ɣ Carpooling and walking are encouraged for nearby families.
Ɣ Stay tuned for BHUSD and City updates via ParentSquare and city alerts.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as Beverly Hills hosts this major community and industry event. Thank you for helping keep our school community safe and informed!
Warmly,
El Rodeo Administration

Dear Mayor Nazarian, Vice Mayor Corman, and Councilmembers Friedman, Mirish, and Wells,
On behalf of the Beverly Hills Unĭed School District, I am proud to express our support for the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.
We are particularly excited to continue the Golden Globes Insider program, which gives Beverly Hills High School students an extraordinary chance to go behind the scenes of a major live broadcast. Working with the Golden Globes production team, students gain ̆rsthand exposure to how production crews, media operations, red carpet management, and technical staff collaborate to create a world-class event. This experience illuminates career paths in media, entertainment, communications, and production for aspiring young professionals.
We are honored to collaborate with Dick Clark Productions in making this opportunity possible for our students, and we look forward to strengthening this partnership in the years ahead. As the Globes and BHUSD coordinate planning, we will work closely to minimize disruption for families, students, and city operations.
Thank you for your consideration and your commitment to our community’s future.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alex Cherniss

Patty —
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to let you know that the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is in full support of the 2026 Golden Globes moving forward. We have seen the plans are in general agreement with all aspects. As always, we are working out minor details between the properties. Regarding Wilshire Blvd westbound traffic into the Waldorf Astoria, we would propose that the show install arrow boards on Wilshire and Santa Monica indicating that all westbound Waldorf traffic enter on Santa Monica.
Please let me know if you need anything else from us. Have a wonderful rest of your day! All the best,
David Alagem

Removal Of Light Pole Request for removal of light pole at the Southeast corner of Wilshire and Whittier by DCP has been made. The
request is so that tent framing, tenting material and event decor can be built. DCP is proposing using a temporary
portable traffic signal.
Staff recommend that the City Council deny this request IRUWKHIROORZLQJUHDVRQV
ƔDue to the age of the pole, staff is concerned that it could be damaged beyond repair during disassembly and
removal. Staff estimates it would take 3-6 months for a replacement pole to be manufactured and installed.
ƔDue to the size of the pole and the technology mounted on the pole including multiple cameras, staff estimates that disassembling and removing the pole, and
subsequently reassembling and installing the pole, would require 1-2 cranes and significant staff time.
Parking Dick Clark Productions is requesting 50 parking spaces to be reserved all day, including overnight parking spots to be used intermittently between December 15, 2025 thru
