INTRODUCTION
Provided for your review and approval are a list of proposed City Council meeting dates from January 2026 through April 2026.
DISCUSSION
Per the Beverly Hills Municipal Code, regularly scheduled City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Any date changes to City Council meetings require Council approval.
The following alternate dates (marked with * on the list) are proposed due to holidays and other events that conflict with regular meeting dates.

Background: Installation/Re-Organization
The City Council has previously designated the first Tuesday in April as the date for the annual City Council Installation/Re-Organization meeting. However, Tuesday, April 7, falls on Passover, on a date when work-related and other events are generally recommended to be rescheduled if possible. While City Council Installations have occurred during Passover in the past, this year’s date falls on a day when rescheduling is encouraged. It will also help ensure greater community participation.
Because this year’s installation involves a rotation rather than an election, the meeting may be held on a special meeting date or aligned with a regular meeting date.
If the City Council Installation is not on Tuesday, April 14, then a Regular City Council meeting is proposed for that day, which would cancel the Tuesday, April 21 meeting.
However, if the Installation is on Tuesday, April 14, then a regular meeting is proposed for Tuesday, April 21.

Staff respectfully requests the City Council to provide feedback on proposed dates and approve the schedule for January 2026 to April 2026. At the second meeting in April, a follow up will be presented to schedule City Council meetings for the remaining year.
