RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council appoint David C. Stone and Judy Burkow to the Architectural and Design Review Commission to fill vacancies on the commission.
If approved, both will be appointed for initial two-year terms based on the terms provided. They will also be eligible for reappointment to an initial term of two years per Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 2-2-105.
INTRODUCTION
This report transmits a formal request to appoint the following to the Architectural and Design Review Commission for the terms provided:
1David C. Stone (Term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028)
Prospective Former Commissioner Rebecca Pynoos (Term ends: June 30, 2028) Judy Burkow (Term: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2028) Outgoing Commissioner Terri Smooke (Term ends: December 31, 2026) 1 Pending results from the June 2, 2026 City Council Regular Municipal Election.

DISCUSSION
Staff presented the Architectural Design Review Commission Interview Panel report to the City Council at the Study Session of June 23, 2026.
This action will approve the appointment presented to the City Council at this meeting.
