PUBLIC BENEFIT
The Beverly Hills Run of the Stars is a community focused event that unites the people of Beverly Hills and surrounding neighborhoods in support of children with cancer.
In 2025 50% of the participants in the run were from outside communities, 10% of participants were from outside Los Angeles. As this race grows it will continue to bring in “running tourism” from around the region. The Race Expo that accompanies the event will give Beverly Hills businesses a chance to exhibit and promote.
Every year there are children in our community diagnosed with cancer. As Not Today Cancer grows the organization has devoted resources to supporting these children and their families. At the 2025 Run of the Stars NTC launched a fashion partnership with the teen influencer Zuza, a 14 year old battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia and the the GenZ social media agency The GlowHouse.
Not Today Cancer continues to support cutting edge research being performed at Texas Children’s Hospital in conjunction with Baylor College of Medicine. The T-Cell malignancy study is developing a breakthrough immunotherapy treatment that has to date rescued 50% of the patients who undertook this treatment - children who otherwise would not be alive today.
A statement from the chief investigator Dr. Rayne Rouce:
“Our CD5 CAR T cell studies have shown promise in adults with T cell lymphoma, but earlier on were disappointing for children with T-cell leukemia or lymphoma. Initially, it was hard to figure out exactly why, because of the number of variables involved including differences between how different patients’ immune cells grew and performed in the lab, despite using the same techniques to grow them. Not Today Cancer has helped support this work, because any single change in how we make CAR T cells requires not only funds to test in the lab but also funds to ensure we have all the pieces in place to submit these changes for approval.”
Thank you for the support as we work to save more lives! - Stacey and J.J.

Hi Stacey,

Greetings Mayor, Vice-Mayor and Council Members,
The last annual Perrier 10K event seems like a lifetime ago. It was an event that brought the entire community together, but in support of what?
Thanks to the wonderful leadership of Stacey Book and JJ Duncan and their amazing organization Not Today Cancer, Beverly Hills now has an annual running event that has surpassed that sense of community made by famous by a race in support off a green-glassbottled water company.
Since its inception Run of the STARS has been growing exponentially and uniting our community for an amazing cause. My support for this organization and this incredible event goes back to my days volunteering for the Taste of Broadway program and sharing the stage with Mason. I saw Mason as an inspiration to everyone and I continue to do so every day. His fortitude in the face of adversity was beyond comprehension as was his love for performing.
This race not only honors Mason and promotes health and fitness, but more importantly supports an amazing cause while bringing our community together.
I would like to thank all of you for your past support with this event and encourage you to continue that same dedication as you dust off your running shoes and prepare this year's 5K.
Thank you,
Hon. Noah Margo
