INTRODUCTION
The 2025 Charitable Solicitations Report provides information to familiarize the City and the community with the Charitable Solicitations Office's significant accomplishments throughout the 2025 calendar year and provides financial information related to those charitable solicitation activities. This report is provided for information only.
DISCUSSION
The primary responsibility of the Charitable Solicitations Office is to ensure compliance by charitable organizations soliciting donations or funds from Beverly Hills residents.
Compliance with established permitting guidelines helps to protect our community from fraudulent, fictitious, or otherwise unscrupulous solicitations. It also keeps the community aware of the many charitable events held in Beverly Hills. The Charitable Solicitations Office, administered by the Police Department, regulates the issuance of solicitation permits, reviews financial statements submitted by charities, and maintains a dedicated website for the public to access information about permitted solicitations.
The attached annual report highlights the Charitable Solicitations Office’s accomplishments and provides statistical information on charitable solicitations. Most noteworthy of these are:
1. Issued a total of 125 permits for events that concluded in 2025, consisting of 100 event drive permits and 25 monetary drive permits.
2. Reviewed 106 financial statements of solicitations that concluded in the 2025 calendar year.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
