A Special Joint Meeting of the City Council of the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water & Power Board of Commissioners was called to order by Mayor Putz at 10:03 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Civic Center, 39707 Big Bear Boulevard, Big Bear Lake, California.

DISCUSSION & ACTION ITEM
1. PROPOSED RATE ADJUSTMENTS JULY 2023-JUNE 30, 2028
The City Council and Department of Water and Power (DWP) Board of Commissioners received a presentation from DWP General Manager, Reggie Lamson, regarding the proposed rate plan for July 2023 thru June 30, 2028.
Kevin Kostiuk, Project Manager for Raftelis, gave a brief presentation regarding DWP’s rate study including the proposed monthly fixed charges for residential and commercial properties, the financial drivers indicating the need for a rate increase, and the next steps of the rate study/adoption process.

Following questions and comments, the Council offered their consensus of approval to move forward with the Rate Study process.

There being no further business to come before the Council at this Special Meeting, Mayor Putz adjourned the meeting at 10:45 a.m.
