Public comments on agenda items are welcomed and encouraged in advance and will be accepted until 3:00 PM. on the meeting date by emailing the City Clerk at [email protected] or via the drop box at 465 C Street.
Comments will be conveyed to the Council for consideration.

When it is your turn to speak, you will be called upon by the last 4 digits of your phone number, if available.
Speaking Time Limit: Three-minute time limit for each speaker unless Council specifies a different time limit based on the time allotted for the item and/or the number of speakers.
Written Materials: Council is unable to read written materials presented at the meeting. If a person intends to appear before the Council and provide written material, that written material should be delivered to the City Clerk at least 10 days in advance of the meeting date.
Cell Phones and side conversation: Please silence all cell phones, side conversations and other disturbances during the meeting.
ADA Compliance: It is the intention of the City of Biggs to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Members of the public may address the City Council on matters which are not listed on this agenda. City Council may not discuss nor take action on any item not listed on the agenda.

5. SPECIAL SESSION
A. Consider appointment to fill vacant Council member position created by the passing of Vice Mayor and Council Member John Busch with term to expire December 2022.
1. Interview and consider applicants for appointment.
a. Applicant Michael Buck
b. Council Discussion.
2. Motion to appoint (name of the appointee) and to Adopt Resolution No. 2022-01, “Resolution of the City of Biggs appointing resident to vacant Council position.”
3. City Clerk administers Oath of Office to newly appointed Council Member.
4. Newly appointment Council Member seated.
B. Selection of Vice Mayor.
1. Request nominations for Vice Mayor; after close of nominations the City Clerk will request votes for those nominated. The first nominee to receive a majority vote by the Council will selected by Council to serve as Vice Mayor.
C. Commission and Committee Appointments.
Council will consider the current schedule of Council member and staff appointments on various boards and commissions and may take action to reassign as needed.
