MINUTES OF THE CITY OF BIGGS
SPECIAL MEETING March 22, 2022
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
1. SPECIAL MEETING CALLED TO ORDER:
The special council meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m. by Mayor Sheppard. Vice Mayor Bassett, Councilmembers Buck, Nuchols and Squires were present. Staff present:
City Administrator Mark Sorensen, City Attorney Greg Einhorn and City Clerk Roben Benish.

3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Buck, Nuchols, Squires, Bassett & Sheppard.
Absent: None.
4. SPECIAL SESSION:
A. Council discussed the Biggs 4th of July Celebration and the increased cost to purchase fireworks. They also discussed the possibility of the fireworks display occurring on July 3 rd
. Council discussed options and considered ways to obtain the funds needed for the event.
B. Mr. Sorensen discussed current, future, and conceptual city projects, as well as goals and objectives with Council.
5. CLOSED SESSION: Council adjourned to Closed Session at 12:55 p.m.
Council resumed Special Session at 12:58 p.m. Direction was given.
4. SPECIAL SESSION CONTINUED:
B. Mr. Sorensen continued the discussion of current, future, and conceptual city projects, as well as goals and objectives with Council.
C. Mayor Sheppard discussed with Council the use of teleconferences for Council Meetings.
Council suggested allowing the meeting to be televised with no discussion from listeners.
Council would bring this item back with final details for approval.

7. ADJOURNMENT: Council adjourned the special meeting at 1:43 p.m.
