MINUTES OF THE CITY OF BIGGS
SPECIAL MEETING January 23, 2023
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
1. SPECIAL MEETING CALLED TO ORDER:
The special council meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Mayor Bassett. Vice Mayor Nuchols, Councilmembers Buck, Sheppard and Squires were present. Staff present: Interim City Administrator Dennis Schmidt, City Attorney Greg Einhorn and City Clerk Roben Benish.

4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None
5. CONSENT CALENDAR: Motion/Second to approve the extension of Dennis Schmidt’s Employment Contract and Authorize the Mayor to Sign. (Sheppard/Nuchols, MCU)
6. COUNCIL CONSIDERATION: Establish the Salaries and Benefits for the Position of City Administrator and CalPERS compensation Schedule.
Motion/Second to approve Resolution No. 2023-01, “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF
BIGGS ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS FOR UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES AND CALPERS CCR 570.5 COMPENSATION SCHEDULE.” (Buck/Nuchols, MCU)
7. CLOSED SESSION: Council adjourned to closed session at 4:03 p.m.
8. RESUMED SPECIAL SESSION: Council resumed the special session at 4:29 p.m.
Direction was given.
9. ADJOURNMENT: Council adjourned the special meeting at 4:30 p.m.
