Discussion/Action: Request to Engage Investigation Services The City Attorney requests Council authority to retain Municipal Resource Group LLC (MRG) for investigative services. The engagement letter, which would be a contract between the City Attorney and MRG, is attached.
Pursuant to the engagement letter, the City Attorney would retain and pay MRG. The City Attorney would then submit the MRG billings to the City for reimbursement.
Based on the nature of the investigation, the City Attorney estimates that the fees for this service are $18,500, and requests reimbursement authority in that amount.
Recommendation: Authorize the City Attorney to retain MRG for investigation services in an amount not to exceed $18,500, such amount to be reimbursed to the City Attorney upon submission of invoices.
