MINUTES OF THE CITY OF BIGGS
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING October 16, 2024
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
The special council meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Bassett. Staff present:
Acting City Administrator Roben Benish and City Attorney Greg Einhorn.

4. CITY ATTORNEY:
Request to Engage Investigation Services
City Attorney Greg Einhorn was requesting authority to retain Municipal Resource Group LLC (MRG) for investigative services. MRG will conduct a confidential investigation to determine the factual basis of complaint originating from the City Administrator’s office.
The estimated cost for this service is $18,500.
Resident Mandy Mattos asked what was being investigated? Would the results of the investigation be shared with the Council?
Mr. Einhorn stated the report would be shared with the Council and he could not state what was being investigated.
Motion/Second to authorize the City Attorney to retain MRG for investigation services in an amount not to exceed $18,500, such amount to be reimbursed to the City Attorney upon submission of invoices. (Mr. Einhorn stated he would come back to the council if the cost exceeded $18,500). (Buck/Sheppard, MCU, Absent: Nuchols)
