SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Garcia called the special joint meeting of the Bishop City Council and the Bishop Rural Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners to order at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 301 West Line Street, Bishop, California.

3. PUBLIC COMMENT – NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: This time is set aside to receive public comment on matters not calendared on the agenda. When recognized by the Mayor, please state your name, and address for the record and please limit your comments to three minutes. Under California law the City Council is prohibited from generally discussing or taking action on items not included in the agenda; however, the City Council may briefly respond to comments or questions from members of the public. Therefore, the City Council will listen to all public comment but will not generally discuss the matter or take action on it.
No public comments were made.
4. NEW BUSINESS
A. DISCUSS PRIORITIES AND GOALS OF BISHOP FIRE

City Administrator Dishion and Fire Chief Russell reviewed this item with the Council and the Board. No public comments were made.
B. DISCUSS THE FUTURE JOINT MEETINGS AND POSSIBLE DATES GOING FORWARD (MONTHLY, QUARTERLY)
City Administrator Dishion and Fire Chief Russell reviewed this item with the Council and the Board. The Council and the Board came to a consensus to meet on March 7, 2024 at 4:00 PM for their next joint meeting and jointly again on May 16, 2024 at 4:00 PM to review the Fire Department budget with Finance Director Aukee prior to each agency adopting their budget in June. No public comments were made.
5. FIRE CHIEF REPORT
Fire Chief Russell presented his report to both the Council and the Board.
6. ADJOURNMENT
The Mayor adjourned the meeting at 6:21 p.m.
