Active Transportation Program Grant Funding Support Task Order with Eastern Sierra Engineering Cover Page
ESE Task Order 2 for ATP Cycle 7 Support
Public Works Director Gamino reviewed this item with Council.
Public comment was made by:
Tonya Miller, a local resident, asked why are we doing Sierra Street and Yaney? Public Works Director Gamino responded by letting Tonya Miller know that they potentially involve different treatments on the different roads because of right-of-way widths; some will allow us to do a certain level of treatment and some are more restrictive. We are more restricted on Yaney where we only have a 45 foot right-of-way than what we have on Sierra Street, and Yaney connects to a controlled crossing and Sierra Street does not. No further public comments were made.
Motion/Councilmember Schwartz
Seconded/Mayor Garcia
Councilmember Schwartz made a motion to approve and ratify the approved task order with Eastern Sierra Engineering for professional engineering services in support of the City’s Cycle 7 Active Transportation Program grant in the not-to-exceed amount of $52,578.00 and to approve an additional not-to-exceed 10% contingency amount of $5,257.80.
