Public Hearing Notice
Mayor Garcia announced this item and opened the public hearing.
Lucy Vincent acknowledged that cannabis is legal and people can choose to use it.
However, someone's right to smoke should not infringe upon those who choose not to. Lucy Vincent spoke in support of this ordinance due to her daughter's sensitivity to second-hand smoke and thanked Council for bringing this ordinance for Council's consideration.
Mark Vincent wrote an article titled, "Bishop Stinks" and appreciated his meeting with Police Derr to discuss the issues he faced living in close quarters to those who did smoke cannabis and the effects it had on his daughter and to his family. Mark Vincent spoke in favor of this ordinance and shared some topics and resources for Council to consider in making some modifications to the proposed ordinance as currently written.
No further public comments were made and the Mayor closed the public hearing.
