David Eichman, of West Hollywood, shared with Council what the City of West Hollywood did as it relates to the use of cameras and license plate readers (LPR). David Eichman explained that the City of West Hollywood at first did not want to install cameras and LPRs and was concerned about the camera data as Council discussed, but later the City of West Hollywood saw the benefits of the use of cameras and LPRs from their neighbors in Beverly Hills in addressing crime and eventually voted to purchase and install such equipment in West Hollywood.
