Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, ~ 6:30pm ~ Special Council Meeting Skinner Store Building ~ 111 Greenwood Rd., Blue Lake ~ Behind City Hall 1 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Sawatzky called the meeting to order at 6:30pm 2 3 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

5 6 COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: City Manager Short established a quorum of council 7 members: Present: Mayor John Sawatzky, Mayor Pro Tem Elise Scafani, Council 8 Member Kat Napier, Council Member Terri Bayles, Council Member Michelle Lewis9 Lusso 10 COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: None
11 STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Jennie Short, Recreation Director Emily Wood, and 12 Videographer Justin Goad.
13 14 Motion by Council Member Lewis-Lusso to move for the agenda to add comment 15 section between agenda item 2 and 3 for public comment. Second by Council Member 16 Napier.

21 • Rebecca Collins- Appointment of city clerk very important, provided council members 22 with a handout to highlight the function that a city clerk plays in a city. Hopes that the city 23 will provide guidance and resources for additional trainings for new city clerk as needed. 24 • Julie Christie- Agrees with Rebecca, happy to see progress being made towards bringing 25 on city clerk. Looking forward to accountability.
