Subject: Potential Park Acreage Update
Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2023 1:46:52 PM
Attachments: Copy of Park Acreage West and East of Minnesota.Calculations.xlsx Park Gap Analysis_Quarter Mile_2019.pdf
Good afternoon Mayor and Council Members,
Vice Mayor Meyer also requested a comparison of current park acreage in West Brentwood vs East Brentwood and also wanted to know what is considered "walkable" and that comparison by part of the city as well.

Attached is a listing of our parks East of Minnesota Ave and West of Minnesota Ave. Also attached is a gap analysis that shows a ¼ mile radius around our parks. Many times “walkable” distances are labeled as those areas within either a ¼ mile or ½ mile. Based on this ¼ mile gap analysis it shows that most residents have a park within a walkable distance to their home.

Thanks,
Bruce
