Hi Victoria,
Staff are power washing the gray stones in and around the water feature. The hard water and chlorine creates a sediment that discolors the stones. This sediment is common around water features. Please see the attached photo of the Continente Fountain that has similar discoloration.
Staff power washes these fountains on a regular basis and will continue to do so with the Deer Ridge Fountains. The repair work that took place on the fountains that kicked up dust and debris contributed to the discoloration, but the main factor is the hard water that is also chemically treated.
I have also attached the lighting fixture cut sheet with the original fixtures. Staff has ordered a very similar model that will be installed in the coming days upon delivery.
In addition, staff will also be installing a few multi trunk crape myrtle shrubs on both sides of Foothill Drive adjacent to the fountains.
I hope this helps answer your questions.
Thanks,
Aaron

CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
Hi Bruce,
I’ve been thinking about what you said about power washing the stone and bringing it all to a consistent color. Are you talking about power washing the stone that is the ashy grey (facing the fountain) to remove some material picked up in the process of sealing the fountains OR power washing the other stone walls so they will match the ashy grey ones? Can you please clarify what you meant and also tell me if you have determined what caused the discoloration of the fountain facing stone walls to begin with?
Thank you,
Victoria
