TURNKEY DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ENERGY SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BUILDING AMERICAS, INC. FOR THE PROPOSED FLEET ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT, CIP PROJECT NO. 337-37265.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Government Code section 4217.10 et seq. that the City of Brentwood ("City”) shall hold a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on January 14, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of presenting certain findings, taking public comment, and approving a Resolution adopting the findings and authorizing the City Manager to execute a turnkey design and construction energy services agreement (“Agreement”) with Schneider Electric Building Americas, Inc. (“Schneider Electric”) to provide professional design and construction energy service such as, project scoping and grant finalization, design completion, and construction for the proposed Fleet Electrification Project, CIP Project No. 337-37265 (“Project”).
The City has already worked with the Schneider Electric to apply for and obtain an infrastructure grant from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Additionally, Schneider Electric has provided initial scoping and design services aimed at improving energy efficiency, lowering operating costs, and reducing environmental impact of the proposed Project as well as support the Government Code 4217.10 findings to be made as part of the Resolution. The Resolution will document how the cost to the City to develop, design, and construct the Project will be less than the anticipated marginal cost to the City of electrical or other energy that would have been consumed by the City if the improvements contemplated by the Project are not completed and the Agreement is not entered into by the City.
The public hearing shall be conducted on January 14, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. in the City’s Council Chamber located at:
