Complaint against Mayor Meyer and Council Member Mendoza for making public comment on city business items and possible Brown Act Violation by attending and for their participation in Council designated committees that have items come to City Council for review and approval.
On April 15, 2025 Meyer and Mendoza attended and participated in the DEBI Committee Meeting providing their personal views and opinions on City business. They should immediately recluse themselves from further commenting on or making decisions relating to City business for City hosted, sponsored or events approved to held on city property, including at public parks, streets and sport complexes in the city of Brentwood. furthermore, they should both resign from their positions on the City Council due to their clear biases against items that are in contradiction of their personal feelings. They have displayed the inability to stay neutral and truly represent the wants and needs of citizens by putting their own feelings on city business out to the public over the publics needs and wants for this City. It is clear they are dictators and want to control everything.
2 There is a passionate anime, cosplay, and pop culture community in Brentwood, Oakley, and the surrounding cities within Contra Costa County and the greater Contra Costa area, and we are proud to create an event that celebrates that spirit.
Event Details:
Date: August 2, 2025
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Brentwood city park, Brentwood, California
Highlights include:
A children’s area with carnival-style activities
Celebrity meet-and-greets, photo ops, and autograph signings Live panels, music, an on stage production performed by the local highschool student volunteers and other exciting entertainment
A costume contest
An after-hours event
As we get closer to the event date, we continue to extend our outreach and invite the community to help make this event one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences Brentwood has ever seen.
We sincerely hope you hear us, hear the voices of those often unheard in our community, and join us in making something amazing happen.
Thank you for helping NovaCon reach the moon and shine among the stars. Together, let's make history.
With much appreciation and gratitude,
Thank you!
Charitie Bolling Tosuner

CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
Dear City Council,
I am writing in regards to the Creekside Pickleball Court operating hours. I understand that the neighboring houses have issues with noise and parking but I disagree with the new hours. I don’t think that closing them so early in the evening well before the 10 pm quiet time, is fair to those who have to work and the only time they can get out and play is after
7. We are a commuting community and many don’t get home in time to enjoy our parks before it’s dark. With such limited places to play pickleball in the city, a 7pm closing time greatly limits its purpose and potential.
Please consider changing the closing time of Creekside pickleball courts at least to 8pm or at sunset.
Thank you,
Shannon Wight

CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
Dear City Clerk,
Please keep the Brentwood courts open later. It truly is a family bonding time for us. The balls are not heard far away as people have mentioned. Pickleball popularity is still rising. We have such great groups of people that love to meet up and play. Again please keep them open. Thank you for the consideration! Sincerely,
Christopher Beninati MS, DMD, MSD
