Subject: New bond for water treatment
Date: Tuesday, October 14, 2025 11:09:44 AM
CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
Dear City Council, I read with much dismay that there is consideration of a new bond to help pay for additional water base/usage for future housing projects. If this was for new non-retail businesses with salaried jobs like light manufacturing or tech, or a medical center like Sutter or John Muir, or a trade school, I would grit my teeth, tighten my belt and bear it.

But this is not for that. My city bill has doubled since we moved here and water usage/base is half my bill. Also, knowing builders don’t want to build affordable units to help us reach our state mandated numbers, also makes me sour on the bond. Please vote this idea down.

Saludos,
M. Carolina Villaseca

I am not in favor of this bond. It puts a big burden on current residents without receiving the benefits.

Urge you to vote NO!!!!!

Subject: Water rate increases

CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
CouncilI’m not in favor of the proposed water rate increases in order to expand our water treatment facility. We’ve owned our home for over 15 years and shouldn’t have to shoulder the burden of higher rates for newer housing developments. Those should be paid by the new housing developments.

Thank you.
