1 SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
February 10, 2026, 6:00 p.m.
A. CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL
Mayor Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
Roll Call found the following members present: Maloney, Mendoza, Oerlemans, Pierson, and Mayor Meyer.
Vice Mayor Pierson participated remotely via Zoom as a reasonable accommodation pursuant to Government Code section 54953(c).
B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Meyer led the Pledge of Allegiance.
C. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mayor Meyer moved Public Comments until after the Applicant Questions for Item D.1 have concluded.
D. BUSINESS ITEMS
D.1 Interview and consider selection of applicants, and, by motion, make appointments to the Planning Commission
The City Clerk spoke to the appointment process.
The City Council interviewed Jamie Tobin, Toheed Asghar, Mark Anderson and Gerald Johnson, and considered the application of Dr.
Anita Roberts.
Mayor Meyer opened public comments.
Rod Flohr provided comments in support of reappointing Dr. Anita Roberts to the Planning Commission.
Sinziana Todor provided comments in support of appointing Mark Anderson and reappointing Dr. Anita Roberts to the Planning Commission.
There being no additional speakers, Mayor Meyer closed public comments.
Mayor Meyer requested, and the Council provided, each of the Council Members top three candidates ranked from first to last.
Mayor Meyer recommended appointing Dr. Anita Roberts and Gerald Johnson as Planning Commissioners for a term of 2 years. 2 Moved by: Susannah Meyer, Mayor
The City Council, by motion, appointed Dr. Anita Roberts to the Planning Commission for a two-year term that expires on December 31, 2027.

Noes (2): Pa'tanisha Pierson, Vice Mayor, and Tony Oerlemans, Council Member

The City Council, by motion, appointed Gerald Johnson to the Planning Commission for a two-year term that expires on December 31, 2027.
