Subject: Questions for tonight meeting
Date: Tuesday, March 31, 2026 10:35:29 AM
CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
Hi good morning, I heard that there was a meeting tonight and I was told I can submit my questions before 3 PM.
Is the City exploring housing models that include supportive services, life skills training, transportation, and access to community resources like Sunflower Hill? Can you share what specific progress has been made so far and what the timeline looks like moving forward?
Has the City connected with local school districts to understand how many students with disabilities will be transitioning into adulthood—because these students will soon be adults living in our community and will need housing?
Will there be opportunities for families and community members to provide input through meetings or workshops?
What partnerships are currently being developed with the county, Regional Center, nonprofits, or developers to move this forward?
And what can families like mine do right now to help ensure this becomes a reality? Sincerely,
Tania Streete

Subject: Banner Up art program

CAUTION – EXTERNAL SENDER
To the Brentwood City Council:
I believe the Friends of the Brentwood Library were the first recipient of the Banner Up Program. Between 2017 and 2019 when I was President of the the Brentwood Library Foundation, they raised $11,825 to support the needs of the new library. In addition to the money, the program brought attention to the library and encouraged more supporters.
I am not only writing to you because of what they did for the library, but what they do for the community in celebrating the importance of the arts. The banners are a beautiful addition to the downtown area. The program also provides an opportunity for local artists to display their skills.
I encourage you to continue to support this worthwhile program.
Sincerely,
Diane Alexander

Subject: Agenda G.2: Letter of Support for Art Guild of the Delta – Banner Up! Program Date: Monday, March 30, 2026 11:23:45 AM
Importance: High
Dear City Clerk and Members of the Brentwood City Council, My name is Jenny Balisle, and I am the Executive Director of Arts Contra Costa County (ARTSCCC). On February 6, 2024, the Board of Supervisors officially recognized ARTSCCC and our fiscal sponsor, Independent Arts & Media, as the county-designated local arts agency. Our focus is creating a sustainable arts foundation that supports the Arts community in Contra Costa.
The Art Guild of the Delta (AGD) is a transformative and highly respected organization within our region. Because of their exceptional work in providing artist support, exhibitions, advocacy, and community partnerships, ARTSCCC has designated AGD as a District Arts Partner grantee. They are one of only eight organizations in the entire county to receive this distinction.
ARTSCCC offers its highest recommendation of support for the Banner Up! public art program and exhibition. AGD’s work is essential to the cultural fabric of District 3 and the City of Brentwood. They have proven themselves to be transformative leaders for the arts in East County for over a decade.
We urge the City of Brentwood to support this vital program. I am available to discuss the regional importance of AGD’s work further should you have any questions.
With appreciation and partnership,
Jenny Balisle Executive Director, ARTSCCC

Subject: Support for Art Guild of the Delta Banner Up! Program Date: Monday, March 30, 2026 3:29:08 PM
Dear Brentwood City Council Members,
I am writing to express my strong support for the Art Guild of the Delta’s Banner Up! program as it enters its 10th year in 2026.
Over the past decade, this program has become an important part of our community, bringing vibrant public art into Downtown Brentwood while providing meaningful opportunities for local artists. Banner Up! not only showcases creative talent, but also strengthens community identity, fosters civic pride, and makes our downtown a more welcoming and engaging place for residents and visitors alike.
Beyond its artistic impact, the program reflects a deep commitment to community service. Through its efforts, the Art Guild of the Delta has supported local nonprofits such as Brentwood Friends of the Library, Ghostlight Theater, the Brentwood Veterans Memorial Building Fund, and the Adventure Therapy Foundation. This spirit of giving back highlights the program’s broader value as a cultural and communitybuilding initiative.
As funding sources like the City of Brentwood Economic Development Grant have become increasingly competitive, continued support and partnership from the City are more important than ever. Investing in Banner Up! is an investment in local artists, small nonprofits, and the vitality of our downtown.
I respectfully urge the City Council to support this program and help ensure its continuation for years to come.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully,
Kristen Mingus
