Subject: Fire Station 90
As a long time resident of Windy Spring Lane in Brentwood, I urge the Council to move forward without further delay to approve the necessary property sale so that The Fire Department can proceed with planning for Station 90 at the corner of Lone Tree and Windy Springs. I have attended two well-attended community meetings during which neighbors expressed their concerns . Those concerns were addressed the Fire Dept . After the 2nd meeting it seemed that the neighborhood was very supportive of the project.

Attachments: FINAL Petition to City re Save Fire Station 90 Lone Tree.docx Dear Mr Davis,
This is an FYII will hand it into Amanda Tuesday am. As Monday is a holiday.

I just finished it early Thursday am.

I have to go get signatures from all the neighbors. We are all upset about this! As you can see by the letters council has been receiving. I told them all to send it to you & Amanda.

I just found your email tonight!
I know Amanda gets all council emails so I told her to make sure she gives you a copy also! I just want you to be aware I am doing this.

It is NOT A REFLECTION ON YOU!
Although I know it will effects you & City attorney & negotiator.

I apologize ahead of time!
I do not do letters to the Editor!
That was my first one in 34 yrs of living here.

I usually go to the source! Any of your older staff knows that! This is my way of going to the source.

I usually read the report, find out the facts, state my issue or problem & give a solution! I do not do social media!
I do not have time for that! I do not like just complainers! I want solutions!
Or compromise & problem solving!
This Fire Station is too important to our Community to loose! We have worked so hard on ballot measures that have failed to get money to help pay for our Fire District stations & fire fighters, Paramedics & EMT’s!
Measure X has made that possible finally for East County! We CAN NOT AFFORD TO LOOSE IT!
Especially to low income housing Developers! That is not going to help when we have a heart attack or our house catches on fire!
Thank you for your time & patience in all this mess until we get it resolved! I just hope you have some good news that I do not know about! We have so much to do in the next 2 years if this sale goes through! …, To get this station on line!
And Serving our Community!

PETITION TO THE BRENTWOOD CITY COUNCIL
Immediate Approval of the Sale of a .72 acre
Access Parcel for Fire Station 90 Development

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED RESIDENTS AND TAXPAYERS OF

BRENTWOOD & EAST CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
formally petition the Brentwood City Council to immediately approve the sale to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District of City owned surplus .72 acre Access Parcel needed to complete the Fire Station 90 Development on Lone Tree.

As directly impacted neighbors and community members, we explicitly state on the public record:
• Neighborhood Consensus Has Been Achieved: The residents of Windy Springs and the immediate surrounding area have worked with the County for over a year and fully support this Development’s layout, including the Wall & Emergency Access gate.
• Stop Taxpayer Waste: Ongoing delays by individual Council members have already wasted much-needed Measure X taxpayer funds in unnecessary Political Stalling Tactics!
• Protect Public Safety: Further obstruction threatens to kill the entire Fire Station 90 Development, forcing the County to move the fire station to Antioch or Oakley, which will degrade emergency response times for our families and leave the neighboring 4.18 acre parcel vulnerable to statemandated house overrides! THEREFORE, WE DEMAND that the Brentwood City Council cease all political obstruction, honor the consensus of the actual neighborhood residents, and vote YES to finalize the City owned property sale immediately in order to complete the Fire Station 90 Development! We, the Undersigned DEMAND that the Brentwood City Council cease all political obstruction, honor the consensus of the actual neighborhood residents, and vote YES to finalize the City owned property sale immediately in order to complete the Fire Station 90 Development!
