MAYOR/COUNCIL MATTERS
N. Discussion of Revising the City Council Meetings’ Start Time and Day of the Week City Manager Dennis reported that with a new council and new mayor, it is appropriate to review the City Council’s meetings time and days. There has also been a trend in recent years for councils in the region to change their start times to earlier to further increase public participation and (to the extent possible) try to reduce the number of late-night meetings that impact decision making and reduce resident contributions.
After Councilmember discussion and no public comment, Councilmembers directed staff to bring back an ordinance to change the 1st and 3rd Thursday meeting time to 6:30pm.
