Subject: 06/04/26 City Council Mtg, Agenda Item I, Parkside II Traffic Assessment Study Dear Mayor Makin and City Council Members,
I'm writing to express my confusion regarding the proposed traffic study and the closure of our current entrance to town at Old County/Bayshore. The staff report states that the existing Old County Road right-of-way could support the City’s redevelopment goals, but it doesn't describe which goal or goals. The report mentions that the subcommittee discussed topics such as creating a vision for town entrances, increasing traffic circulation, the future of retail in the City, exploring co-op models, the proliferation of housing in retail spaces, and the need for affordable housing. The report states that this traffic study is needed to advance the process forward. What process and how does it advance the process?
The staff report conflicts with F&P's Traffic Assessment proposal, which states the existing Old County Road right-of-way could then be used as part of a redevelopment project to support the cities affordable housing goals. So is the purpose of this to develop an affordable housing project? Before conducting a traffic study, determine if the additional land will result in a feasible project (based on existing market assessments for this area) and include the cost of changing the entrance to town.
This proposed change to the town entrance seems like a major endeavor, and the staff report lacks sufficient detail to justify this study.

Subject: Opposition to Data Center
Hi - I have been a Brisbane resident for a bit over 14 years.
I recently read something regarding a proposed data center at the former quarry site.
I can't emphasize enough how terrible of an idea this is. A use case that generates constant noise, generates constant light pollution, consumes enormous amounts of electricity and consumes enormous amounts of water would create severe negative effects on our community. Nothing about our area says "we have excess electric and water capacity".
Even a light survey of data center locations around the country would yield ample evidence that data centers are universally hated by their communities.
Even worse, they are often "sold" by promising jobs. This is a lie. The jobs only exist during construction. Data centers do not create material employment opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best Regards,
Gary Lipkowitz

Subject: Re: Final Community Summary & Request to Reinstate Brisbane Preschool Good morning all,
I am looping everyone in regarding a request I recently sent to Nicole, with Jeremy and Angela copied.
On behalf of prospective families, I have the following questions:
1. Refund Policy: If the program is canceled due to low enrollment, what is the refund policy for the initial payment? Given that annual tuition is approximately $3,000, we anticipate the first payment will exceed $900. Will this amount be fully refunded to families in the event of a cancellation?
2. Enrollment Notification: Could you please notify us as soon as the minimum enrollment requirement is met, even if this occurs before the June 30 deadline? While Vice Mayor Davis is seeking clarification on whether the requirement is 10 or 12 participants, early confirmation would allow families to finalize their childcare plans and release backup arrangements.
Thank you all very much once again for your help.
Much appreciated,
Lorie Mae/ "LM"

Caveat: My earlier estimate of the first payment amount may be quite inaccurate, so I’d defer to the P&R staff for the final determination.
Upon rechecking my receipt, it appears that 2 quarters totaled approximately ~$1,500.
On a different note, I am glad that we are getting more petition signatures, which is 239 as of today, 5/26/26.
Hopeful,
Lorie Mae
