The City Council met in a special meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., in the Hilton Buena Park - Lavender Room, 6979 Brenner Avenue, Buena Park, California, Mayor Ahn presiding.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Eddie Fenton, Assistant City Manager/Director of Human Resources.
2A. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
The public may at this time address the members of the City Council on any matters within the jurisdiction of the City Council. There being no requests to speak, oral communications was closed.
3. STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP
City Manager France discussed the logistics of the workshop and a brief overview of the 2024- 2026 City Council Goals and Objectives. Assistant City Manager Fenton introduced the workshop facilitator Marie Knight, Knight Leadership Solutions Owner and Chief Influencer, and highlighted Ms. Knight's expertise and achievements in the field of leadership and organizational development.
The Buena Park City Council and Executive team participated in engaging activities that promote communication and collaboration. Moreover, the Executive team presented about their respective department's highlights and challenges. This portion of the workshop was intended for the City Council's understanding of each department's goals, and to incorporate such points in the development of the 2026-2028 Goals and Objectives Finally, the City Council identified six goals and outlined a few objectives for each. The final 2026-2028 City Council Goals and Objectives will be presented at a subsequent City Council meeting.
