FIRST choice for Board/Commission/Committee appointment:
Burbank- Glendale- Pasadena Airport Authority.
Describe any qualifications, experience, and education, as well as any technical or professional background you may have relative to the duties of this position.
I previously served on the Airport Authority from 2001 through May of 2021 during which time I also served as Vice President.
The current situation presents a 1-1/2 year term to fulfill.
With twenty years of
experience and recent history serving on the authority, I feel it would significantly easier and faster for me to assume a contributing role at the airport than it would be for someone else without that experience and history of the airport’s operation.
I believe that if I were appointed to the Airport Authority, the time required to bring a new representative for Burbank ‘up to speed’ would be significantly less.
What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? I hope to continue previous and ongoing efforts to ensure the replacement terminal is a LEED Platinum Structure.
I also wish to encourage an effective and cohesive governing body so that the best possible emerges from Airport Authority decisions with regard to the futures of both the airport and the City of Burbank.
