Please tell us about yourself and why you want to serve.

Why are you interested in serving on a board, commission or committee? As a parent to two young children, I would like to see our city be an example of what progress and success looks in like in reversing the effects of climate change. I believe serving on the Sustainable Burbank Commission will allow me to serve my community in a way that can continue to move Burbank's GGRP forward especially in the areas of carbon-free power generation, reducing water consumption, and waste diversion and reduction. As a mechanical engineer directly working to implement Los Angeles' LA100 plan, I have extensive knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in carbon-free and carbon-neutral power generation. As a home owner in the City of Burbank, I have educated myself extensively on the climate issues facing Burbank and implemented water consumption reduction techniques (like rain barrels), native plant gardening in my front yard, and composting in my home.
