A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE 2022
CALIFORNIA FIRE FOUNDATION (CFF) GRANT FOR
$14,650 AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2022-23
BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. The California Fire Foundation (CFF) provides grants to agencies whose projects focus on keeping California communities and their first responders safe through wildfire/disaster prevention, preparedness and/or relief and recovery assistance.
B. Funds will be allocated for specialized firefighting equipment and personal protective equipment that will enhance the Angeles National Forest Crew 70 and Burbank Fire Department personnel’s response capabilities to wildland incidents.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The City accepts the 2022 CFF grant in the amount of $14,650.
2. The City’s Fiscal Year 2022-23 Annual Budget is amended by appropriating $14,650 from revenue account number 001.FD000.48010.1999.24618.00000 (General Fund, F ire Department General, Other Intergovernmental Revenue, Miscellaneous, CFF Grant 2022) to the following expenditure account:
• $14,650 to 001.FD02A.62300.0000.24618.00000 (General Fund, Fire Suppression, Special Departmental Supplies, CFF Grant 2022).
3. The Financial Services Director is authorized to make such other revisions, changes in summaries, fund totals, grand totals, and other portions of the budget document as necessary to reflect and implement the appropriations specified in this resolution.
4. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to take any necessary action to effectuate the receiving and appropriating of these grant funds in the event of future amendments to the grant program.
