Playground Renovation
242,518.00 The playground equipment at George Izay Park was replaced in 2021 and while safe, in compliance with the new Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines, and current
Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, it does not address the robust needs of park users as there are fewer play features. Through a comprehensive community
engagement and Parks Master Plan process that began in
November 2021, there was overwhelmingly support to
augment the playground equipment with additional structures that create unique play areas for children 5-12 years of age.

Final invoices for the playground renovation still need to be paid once the work performed is satisfactory for the
community served. Supply chain issues as a result of COVID- 19 Pandemic have delayed the overall renovations.
