A RESOLUTION O F THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE
OF TRAFFIC SAFETY 202 3 TRAFFIC RECORDS
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT GRANT AGREEMENT AND
ANY FUTURE AMENDMENTS, ACCEPTING $25,000 IN
GRANT FUNDS, AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2022-23 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING FUNDS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. The Burbank Police Department has been notified that its grant application through the State of California, Office of Traffic Safety Traffic Records Improvement Project (TRIP) was approved in the amount of $25,000.
B. Grant funds will reimburse City costs to implement an upgrade to the traffic data management system to support the electronic submission of traffic collision reports to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The City accepts the 2023 TRIP grant in the amount of $25,000.
2. The 2023 TRIP agreement between the State of California Office of Traffic Safety and the City of Burbank (the Grant Agreement) is hereby approved.
3. The City’s Fiscal Year 2022-23 Annual Budget is amended by appropriating $25,000 in 2023 California Office of Traffic Safety Grant funding from revenue account number 121.PD000.48010.1022. 24623.00000 (General City Grant Fund, Police Department General, Other Intergovernmental Revenues, Office of Traffic Safety Grant, TRIP Grant 2023) to the expenditure account number 001.PD01A.62316.0000.24623.00000 (General Fund, Patrol Division, Software and Hardware, TRIP Grant 2023).
4. The Financial Services Director , or her designee, is authorized to make such revisions, changes in summaries, fund amounts, totals, and other portions of the budget document as necessary to reflect and implement the appropriations specified in this resolution.

5. The City Manager , or his designee, is authorized to execute all necessary documents and other matters relating to this grant.
