SUBJECT: Update on the Staff Report regarding the October 4, 2022 City Council Meeting Agenda Item No. 1 - Adoption of a Resolution approving a Second Amendment to the Existing Operating Agreement with Clean Energy, a California corporation, related to the Compressed Natural Gas Station at 810 North Lake Street
This memo is to update the Staff Report regarding the October 4, 2022 City Council Meeting Agenda Item N.1 - Adoption of a Resolution approving a Second Amendment to the Existing Operating Agreement with Clean Energy, a California corporation, related to the Compressed Natural Gas Station at 810 North Lake Street. The update is to correct the average Gallons of Gasoline Equivalents (GGE) used at the 810 N. Lake station and clarify that the units are for the 810 North Lake station and not the Public Works Yard station:
In addition, the current rate the City is paying for CNG fuel is $0.944 per Gallon of Gasoline Equivalent (GGE) + Cost of Gas + Taxes. The fixed rate will be reduced to $0.79 per GGE, subject to annual adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Annually, this station uses about 129,105 GGEs. The annual savings will be approximately $20,000 per year ($0.154 x 129, 105 GGEs).
The updated Staff Report is attached to this memo.
