1. Remove ex isting Olive Recreation
Center and replace with New
Olive Recreation Center – 22,000 –
28,000 SQ FT with 3 indoor basketball
courts / dual use volleyball courts,
instructional dance room, lobby, multi-use
classrooms, administrative spaces, and
storage. It is anticipated that with a larger
footprint building there will be opportunity
to relocate 20-30 staff from the
Community Services Building to this
location. As part of future building and
programming feasibility studies, floor plans
will be developed to provide a function
and space efficient layout to
accommodate these staff offices.

freeform climber, new tri-ring
hub traverse structure, new spin

SUSTAINABILITY
Preserve existing trees and open space, add parking islands, use recyclable construction materials and methods when feasible, utilize water efficient irrigation and drought tolerant landscaping, and explore opportunities to improve stormwater capture systems.
As part of any new development projects at the park, hydrology, water quality management plans, storm water best management practices, and storm water pollution prevention plans will have to be included in design efforts to provide on site retention / detention systems for LID (low impact design) and hydromodification.
