im both research-focused and research-oriented. From being the Vice President of Burbank HS's Research team. to undertaking individual efforts to better explain areas of interest, the concept of practical and basic research fascinates me. As this has been one of my fundamental passions in school, feel 1 can bring that to the table in a way not many others can. I believe municipal politics at its core revolves around making empirical and logical decisions - and as someone who was awarded an a team of the first Burbank students ever to be nationally commended for research, Ill apply those skills and approach to serve our Board for the coming term.
AS a Youth Board member, by what means would you attempt to encourage youth participation and understanding in city govemment?
I would try to reach out to the youth personally to encourage participation and understanding in our cities government. I have found that as many students are misinformed or unaware of their political passions, all they need is a given opportunity. i would strive to create these opportuniues, by helping to organize events that inton and incorporate the youth ih our atles goverment. As a Top recruiter for Burbank High's golf team, I know what it takes to motivate kids to participate in the unknown, hopefully lighting a flame that leads to a genergtion of active and engaged young citizens.
